UPCOMING MEETINGS & SPECIAL EVENTS
In 1883, James Concannon established Concannon Vineyard, now celebrating 132 years of family winemaking as America’s Oldest, Ongoing Winery Under the Same Family Label and Stewardship. Members and their guests are welcome to join our special guided tour of the winery followed by wine tasting scheduled for Thursday 2 pm on February 23rd.  The cost is $25 per person and there is a limit of 20 attendees for this event.  You can register by clicking HERE.  
Our March guest speaker is health industry expert, Ron Wetter, from Kaiser Permanente.  Ron has presented to our group several times in the past and has been very well received. Given the new government agenda to dismantle and replace the Affordable Care Act, we anticipate Mr. Wetter's talk to be of high interest to our membership.  Please plan on joining us at our March 15th luncheon. Last time we participated in the Golden Gate Fields SIRS DAY AT THE RACES was last March so it's time once again to organize our outing for this year! The date is set for Friday, March 17th. All members, their family and guests are welcome to participate. The cost is $35 per person and includes their Turf Club package: Valet parking, admission and reserved seating, daily racing program, Turf Club buffet, tax/tip for the food servers. Our May guest speaker is Bryan Walley, the executive officer of CoCoSAR (Contra Costa County Sheriff's Dept Search and Rescue Team).  Bryan, a retired Chevron employee of 33 years, has spent the past 11 years working in this 2nd career with the county search and rescue service  He has been a team member for over 11 years and typically serves in the Command Post during missing person searches, or as a search team member.  He will speak about the team's responsibilities, team members, training, operations, and challenges with special emphasis on searching for missing Alzheimer’s and Autistic subjects.‚Äč Please plan on joining us at our May 17th luncheon to for Bryan's presentation.
