Join us on a docent-led tour of the elephant seal colony at Ano Nuevo State Park on February 7th.  The walk is 3 miles,lasting 2.5 hours, and is considered moderate with varied terrain including sand dunes. Additional details are listed on our Special Events page.

There is still room for more SIR 128 members for this special genealogy seminar. Our Past Big Sir (2003) Marston Watson is uniquely qualified to help you understand why Family Roots Matter. Sir Marston is prepared to share his twenty-five years of genealogical research in a four-session, hands-on class at the Danville Library (Jan.10, Mar.14, Apr. 11 & May 9, 2018), along with Past Big Sir (2006) Bill Olmo’s Computer Class (2nd Wednesday, 9-10:30 a.m.). Bring your notebook/laptop computer if you have one.
 
Four volumes of Marston’s Royal Families: Americans of Royal and Noble  Ancestry have been published by the Genealogical Publishing Company, including his 900-page Pelham-Avery-West volume four (2017).

Please join us for our first regularly scheduled luncheon/meeting of 2018 at The Bridges on January 17th! Our new Big Sir, Greg Grebe, will outline his plan for the coming year.  Our luncheon speaker is Rob Silverman, an attorney who handles matters involving trusts and estates, including estate planning, trust administration and probate.  He has helped more than a thousand individuals and families establish comprehensive, meaningful estate plans for the benefit of their families, loved ones, and charities.  He will be presenting on the topic of Estate Planning Fundamentals, including important recent developments. You can find out more by visiting our Speakers page.
