UPCOMING MEETINGS & SPECIAL EVENTS
If you haven't done so already, and you are curious about what goes on at this government facility, you are invited to participate in a FREE docent-led tour of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory this summer. Our Tuesday, July 18th tour is now fully booked but we still have space on our Tuesday, August 22nd tour. The tour runs from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm. The tour is limited to a maximum of 14 persons; spouses or guests (18 yrs. or older) are welcome.

Participants in this tour must also submit a special form for clearance at least 3 weeks in advance of the tour. Please register for this tour by going to our RSVP page and completing a registration or see Sir Doug Williams for additional info.
Our July luncheon speaker is Mr. Mark Roseman, a highly accomplished attorney, author and advocate for survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Mark was a member of the task force that drafted the first delayed-discovery statute in California to extend the statute of limitations for survivors of childhood sexual abuse to sue for damages in civil court. Mark’s most recent book: Derailed, is a memoir about how being trained as an attorney taught him to survive in prison. Mark will share his insights with us so you do not want to miss this luncheon.  You can find additional information on Mark by visiting our Speaker page.  Hope to see you on July 19th!
Our August luncheon speaker is financial advisor Mr. Bill Farber. For the past nine years he has conducted regular (9-12 a year) seminars for a major outplacement firm, Lee Hecht Harrison including advice on: financial planning; retirement planning; investing rollovers and 401k rollovers. He has also spoken at the University of California at Santa Clara at the request of one of their professors who teaches business classes. He is an excellent speaker on a topic he loves. We’re sure to gain some new knowledge on this topic. You can find additional information on Bill by visiting our Future Speakers page.  Hope to see you on August 16th!
Join us for a fascinating free tour of the Eugene O'Neill Danville home from which he authored several of the most important plays in the American theater including Long Day's Journey into Night, A Moon for the Misbegotten and The Iceman Cometh. Tao House, his home from 1937-1944, is now a National Historic Site and each year is host the Eugene O'Neill Festival. Our tour will be guided by Eric Fraisher Hayes (Artistic Director, RPE) and will start at 10 am on Friday, August 18th. The tour is expected to conclude by noon.
