SIR’s Branch 128 fishing activity group is part of a larger combined group  of 13 SIR’s branches known as the SIRs Area 16 Fishing Group. Currently there are over 100 members.

The Area 16 Fishing Group plans multiple fishing activities over the course of the year.  If you are interested in ocean, bay, delta, stream, lake or mountain fishing, we have the activity for you.  Most fishing activities are local and include charter boat and guided trips. Several members have their own boats and offer trips as fish masters. Each activity is led by a fish master who can be contacted for additional information.  Activity costs vary from free to a few hundred dollars for out of the area guided trips. If you don't have your own equipment, most members have extra equipment for your use.

There is a monthly fishing group meeting which lasts about an hour and a half. The fishing group strives to have a speaker at each meeting to present relevant issues occurring in the fishing community.

The Area 16 Fishing Group also holds an annual summer barbeque and a Christmas dinner where our significant others are included.

The fishing group meets on the 4th Thursday of the month at 8:30 AM at the LEGENDS SPORTS BAR and GRILL located at the Diablo Creek Golf Course (4050 Port Chicago Highway in  Concord). Members often come early to enjoy breakfast before the meeting. If you are interested, please come and join us for creative fishing stories and wonderful fishing activities.
