Nov/Dec Update!
The weather is getting colder and more people are coming indoors to play Pickleball. The outside courts are still being used but are starting later in the morning to let the sun come out and warm things up. The indoor courts seem to get more play but not overcrowding yet. Come join us for a good workout but more importantly a good time.If you are a new player I would advise you to play at Ironhorse Middle School in San Ramon as they have three courts just for beginners and sometimes open up more courts if they are not being used. The play is on Sundays from 4-7pm and $5 at the door. The ARC in Alamo still has plenty of room for players and will be closed the end of the Thanksgiving week. Pleasanton Middle School on Sundays from 8-11am and Tice Gym in Walnut Creek is still a good option for indoor play. Rudgear Park in Walnut Creek is the outdoor play and going strong with the regular players coming out. Let me know if I can help you out in any way as to play this great game. Happy Holidays to you all and I will see you on the courts.
Pickle Ball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis.
Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball (similar to a wiffle ball) over a net.
The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis, with a few modifications.
