If you have wondered about the Winchester Mystery House and what mysteries it holds, then this might be your time to join our SIRS 128 and head to San Jose to explore this renown mansion. SIR 128 is planning a 1-hour tour of the mansion on Friday, March 8 at 10:20am with a maximum of 30 people in 2 groups of 15. The cost is $32.42 per person (a 15% discount off the standard price). I will need to have all of the payments by February 19 and there will be no refunds after that time.
If you don't know about the Winchester House, there is plenty of information on the internet. Briefly, it is a 24,000 square foot house that Sarah Winchester, a widow and heiress to the Winchester Repeating Arms fortune, kept building in the 1920s. There are doors to nowhere and many windows that were walled off when she didn't like what was happening. The grounds are also very exquisite and show the creativity of both Sarah and her staff.
If you have any questions, call Dan Mahoney at 925-788-9557.

Since SIR members might not be familiar with Tin's work, here is a link to one of the award-winning compositions emblematic of his work; the title is "Baba Yetu," which is Swahili for "Our Father" and the time is 3 minutes and 30 seconds: Christopher Tin Conducts "Baba Yetu" (Live at Llangollen)
